Payne & Son, the jewellers and silversmiths of Tunbridge Wells, is run by one of the oldest families of jewellers in England. Indeed the firm can trace its history back to 1790 in Wallingford. Othershops opened in Abingdon in 1825, Banbury in 1841, Tunbridge Wells in 1870 and Oxford in 1889. Today the Payne family is still represented by Michael Payne in Tunbridge Wells, the seventh generation to become a jeweller.
Payne and Son Jewellers are based along the old High Street, which is home to many individual businesses. In our high street store you will find jewellery, bridal jewellery and silverware as well aswatches from Edox and Mondaine, and corporate gift ideas such as writing instruments, silverware. You will also see our collection of porcelain from the Zelli Gallery, London, which was incorporated early 2011.
Peter Jenner has over 40 years experience in designing and making high quality jewellery, much of it specially commissioned. His excellent reputation and customer loyalty - both locally and far beyond- come from providing beautiful, individual pieces, created with skill, care and attention.
All our pieces are commissioned, designed and manufactured by hand on the premises using traditional tools and techniques. Working in this way means that every piece is not only superior quality, butgenuinely one-of-a-kind. Master craftsman Chris Thurlwell founded the company in 1989 after studying at the Central School of Arts and enjoying a long and successful career as a jeweller in London's West End.
We fully appreciate the sentiment that is often attached to jewellery and other personal possessions and we give this the greatest consideration with regard to all items left with us for repair orrestoration. Our master craftsmen will undertake all repairs and restorations with the utmost care and respect and to the very highest standard.

Something beyond the glint of a jewel or the sparkle ofsilver. And what better place to experience it than in the heart of Tunbridge Wells; welcome to Walsh Bros, independent fine jeweller.
