As a second-generation family-run business with over 50 years of expertise, we combine trusted gemstone knowledge with direct sourcing from Sri Lanka, the historic source of some of the world’s finest sapphires. By working closely with trusted local miners, cutters, and suppliers, we maintain a transparent and responsible sourcing process that respects both craftsmanship and origin. Roughcut Ceylon is headed by Dr Gamini Zoysa, a world-renowned gemmologist, former President and current Executive Committee Member of the Gemmologists Association of Sri Lanka (GASL), as well as former Sri Lankan President and Ambassador to the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA).
